I have a autometer wideband 3378 and I need to know how to hook it up to my powerlogger.

Here is a link to the directions for the autometer wideband.

I think I need to Hook the blue wire to port one on the powerlogger?

Then hook the blue/black wire to port 4 or do I hook it to a ground under the dash some where? Or do I leave it unhooked?

Anyone running this setup let me know how you hooked yours up.

Thanks

with all the widebands and the powerlogger. you only want to connect one wire.

But the wideband controllers also have a WB referenced ground (separate from the controller's power/ground). Shouldn't that also be hooked to a good ground reference? (not powerlogger ground)

there are a couple ways to make devices like this.

But the discerning factor is the PL. The PL is not a differential input, it measures the voltage at its input pin relative to the ECM ground (which is an engine ground).

So for best results, ground the wideband unit to the engine. But you want to connect one signal wire to the PL.

Other kinds of circuitry uses a 'differential input', where you have 2 input wires, and the circuit measures the difference in voltage between the 2 wires. The Pro and Gen-2 are like this and in these cases you use the reference ground on the wideband to connect the second wire.

OK, that's why I have both hooked up.

Analog signal to Powerlogger & Translator Pro

Analog ground to Translator Pro.
