Anyone know if the oldschool OTC 4000 picks up knock at half throttle??

Hey guys just testing in "road mode" today tuning my new TT Chip.
In default tune,car ran well with no knock at 16lb[pump gas yadda yadda].
I added timing[in all gears] and leaned it out a little.
back on the road I thought I heard it "rattle"before full throttle-ok got a little greedy with the tune I thought.
But the OTC said nothing?0 knock[I was in record mode]Out of record mode and in road mode
I leaned on again,heard it ping but still 0 knock?
So maybe does the OTC only pick up knock at WOT?
Im sure I heard something.
Just this morning I had 2 deg knock on the 1-2 shift with the old Red chip,so I know it was working fine.
Any thoughts?

I can't answer your question but, I just want to say that I highly recommend the audible knock alarm that Casper's Electronic's makes, pretty sure it saved me from blowing head gaskets more then once....Specializing in automotive interconnect and wiring systems

At the rate the 4000 reads you will need a headgasket before it shows knock. I dont know if you can run a custum list with less pids on the 4000. The less pids the faster it responds. Get the knock alert that caspers sells
