I was toying with the ideal of installing a cheap webcam wired into the laptop running DS to monitor my boost gauge for a record after a run. Anybody try this??? Would it work??

Should work if you can record on your laptop. I've thought about doing this, but I have a standalone DVR with a tiny camera input, don't have to use the PC. I'm going to use it to mount it under the car to see how the suspension is reacting on launching sometime. I have a 30' cable on the camera.

It should work, only concern being it is hard to get a good shot of quick motion on the cheaper cameras. In movie mode it will fill up your hard disk fast. Most you can setup to do n frames per second, so you could start it with ds and get a pretty much 1-1 relationship for frames.

I didn't know if a cam and DS would run on the laptop at the same time. DS is kinda finicky. I have a 10gig harddrive so I think it would be big enough. I may try it for giggles if I come across a cheap camera.
