any budget engine builders on here ?

wondering if there are any engine builders on the forum? i would like to get an idea of what it would cost for a budget shortblock built so i know if ill keep the car or not since i have a rod knockin. thanks

I've got about $500. in machine work and parts. Definitely on a budget. $200. or so more and I'll be ready to assemble. My rod knock turned out to be timing gear and cam problem.
