Anyone use the smaller Shurflo pump. Still puts out 60psi but only 1.0GPM (vs 1.8gpm). Few bucks cheaper for the smaller pump. Is 1.0gpm enough to support an alky system on a pure street car?

Yeah, I use it. No probs at all. I adjusted it to run 80psi. There's no way you could use 1.0 gpm.

Its big brother the 2687 has been a good workhorse for a lot of us on the list. As long as the pump themselves are made of the same materials.. cant see why not.

I felt the same way when I first ordered mine..but decided on the tried and tested by all route..the 2687..yes you will never need that amount of alky..

Give a progress report on the little brother... If you end up going that route..good info.

Thanks for the replies. I may try the smaller pump. It's about 44 buck from Northern I believe vs about 60 bucks for the bigger pump. It's only a pound lighter so no big deal, but hopefully a little smaller and make for a cleaner install.
