Years ago I installed an aftermarket..longer pinion snubber(thing to do at the time) now I have read somewher eon here that people dont like them now?? Is that what I understand? should I leave it alone or get a stock replacement & where would it hurt & how much would it hurt to leave it on there?

If your suspension is completely stock with or without airbags I would leave the longer pinion snubber on it. Once you change your control arms upper and lowers and maybe better shocks then I would put the stock pinion snubber on it. Good Luck!!

National- Do ever find that your car feels like it bottoms out on the highway? Mine did, as it was hitting the aftermarket pinion snubber. They discontinued the stock one, but the aftermarket one might be made where you can cut it down. Not sure though.
