Took the GN out last night for testing, and each run my inj duty cycle went to 100%.

Fuel system:
Weldon 2035 w/14000 controller
Aeromotive regulator
Feed -8 or -10
Return -8
96lb inj

Build
S2 274ci
88mm turbo
FAST system

Tuned for C16

Boost was at 16-18lbs where it 100% DC.

Did a total of 9 test passes, and each one was at 100% DC at approx 1/8mi...shut it down each time it hit 100% BTW.

Best pass, with Weldon on full tilt, DC hovered at 94%, then spiked to 100%.

Thoughts?

Any fuel pressure log data ?
AG.

what was your AF at 100% , correction % at 100% ?

what do you have activating the pump controller so it speeds up ? maybe you arent coming off the controllers idle down setting

did yu check the vac line to the regulator
whats your base FP

Sounds like a fuel problem, or your making a heap of power.........about 950 rwhp? Possible maybe..

I'm with David, given the combo you have, sounds like you are making enough power to max the injectors but we'd need to know fuel pressure and AFR at the point of 100% duty cycle to confirm.

Almost 1000 rwhp @16psi is doubtful. I would verify fuel pressure is keeping up. That said, I would still consider 120's

Using a BSFC of .6 and duty cycle of 100%; 43.5psi fuel pressure, those injectors support 950 crank. Using 12% driveline reduction, probably a little conservative for a converter car, rear wheel power is mid 800's. Those numbers seem pretty reasonable for an 88mm especially considering most guys run a bit rich into the low 11s on AFR. I've dyno'd an 80mm @ 18 psi that made 900whp on a dyno dynamics. Engine combo was a little different but it probably didn't flow what the stage 2 does.

We both have our opinions. I have made over 800rwhp with 83# injectors on a Buick V6, so 96's should support well over 900rwhp. Only a handful of Buicks are going to make that kind of hp at 16psi.
Are you saying you made 900 rwhp @18psi with an 80mm turbo on a Buick V6? If so, who's car?

It's no big deal really. I was pointing out that the 1000whp number was about 250 off from where it should be at standard fuel pressure. 850 seems about right for an 88 at 16-18psi. We'll know when/if we get the other info. Doesn't matter who's right as long as the guy gets his stuff fixed.

Log the fuel pressure and you will know for sure..
