Hope this helps a little. As you can see, the steering rack sits right under the oil pan. I'm currently redoing it because it needs more volume. I tried the Camaro oil pan(rwd) in these pics but I'm using a front wheel drive 3800 oil pan this time and notching it for the rack instead of just a rear sump. I will connect the front and rear sump with a transfer tube so the oil that returns to the pan in front will transfer to the rear where the pickup tube is in. I'm using the stock pcm from the 96 Park ave. Ultra I got the engine from. It's been reflashed to delete the necessary functions. I used the wiring harness from the car also and sent it to Howell EFI. For about 400 bucks(give or take) They'll take any GM harness and cut it down to the necessary stuff and add the relays, label everything, and give you the leads for hooking up the pump, and everything else. The best 400 I ever spent. I did the EFI conversion myself on my 78 Lesabre Turbo Coupe with the setup from an 85 GN, I'll never sit there and pull my hair out again for that price.
