***UPDATE 10/16 PRICE DROPPED TO$3500 FIRM AS IS.. TITLE WILL BE HERE ON WEDNESDAY 10/30

welp my fears came true and I am going to have to really dedicate this next year or so to beating my health illness. with that being said my money is very very tight now, long story short I bought this car as a fixer upper project that I was going to fix up myself and make a show car out of it. but hat ship has sailed. I cant afford the resto so it is what it is.

****THIS IS NOT A MINT CONDITION CAR**** THIS IS EITHER A CANIDATE FOR RESTORATION OR A PARTSQUEEN SO PLEASE DONT EXPECT A SHOW CAR****

I am the 2nd owner of this car and I still have a copy of the original 86 title signed over to me.
the car is currently registered and I have been using it as my daily driver.
142k miles on the car.
both engine and transmission were rebuilt (no paperwork from previous owner). but the inside of the heads are spotless.
new front calipers and pads
new maf sensor
vacuum brake conversion
new ecm
brand new 60lb injectors and tt chip installed 10/25/13
new trans mount
new crank sensor
walbro pump
precision 6031b turbo with ext wastegate
new hotwire kit
new stock fuel relay
new alternator
posi rear
87 grill
fiberglass front bumper and hood
ZR6 rpo code
T-tops
full spring cleaning just completed (warm compression text upon buying it was 155-160 all around)

problems:
interior is shot original owner really let it go to S**T(I will post lots of pics shortly)
could use a paint job
some rust underneath but I have seen a lot worse (yes there is some ruse in the t-top channels and the strip is worn out).
powersteering leaks from one of the hoses
air cond dosent work
and the list goes on...you would really have to come and see it
no radio
running rich
the previous owner dropped the suspension so when I cut my wheel all the was right the tire rubs the well

this is being sold as is. and like I said before it needs a lot of work to be mint. please don't come to me with a list of how much its going to cost you to get it in mint condition. it you are looking for a show car then this is not the car for you. if you are looking for a parts car or a resto project of just a daily driver then this is the car for you.

PRICE DROPPED TO $3500. FIRM. if it dosent sell within a month then it will be a full part out.
must me seen and picked up in long island ny
I would rather deal locally so the buyer can see the car but I am willing to ship as long as the buyer arranges the shipping and pays for the shipping.

also, I just registered this car a few weeks ago and I am still waiting on the clean nys title to come in the mail. (it just takes them a while this is nothing new). if someone buys the ar before the title arrives I will leave it registered and insured for them until the title arrives.

sorry I will post some more pics soon. this was just what I had in my computer.

Not sure about driving it daily - as in to work n back
But for $4000 - you can't even buy a decent running KIA.
Parts alone could be worth 4.

GLWTS

More pics on the way
Btw I have the lower door panels inside my house.

Thanks for the nice words.
I'm actually still waiting for the title to me mailed to me. I bought it with a nj title so dmv usually takes a bit longer to process the title when it's an out of state transfer. Right now I'm just putting it out there just incase someone here wants it.
But yea trust me as soon as the title comes I'm gunna do all that. Craigslist , eBay.

Here is a pic right now at the Laundry mat lol.

I would not take a penny less than 4000. I would have started it at 7000 and get talked down. Like stated above you cant buy a decent kia for that price. good luck with sale

I hear ya man. The problem is that I was diagnosed with ca**er in the very early stages thank god. What I need more then anything right now is cash in my hands. so I decided to just take the loss.
If anybody is interested and is not local I am also willing to assist in shipping at buyers expense.

Can u take some pics of the underside? Door bottoms ? Quarters ? Rockers? Floor boards? Sorry to hear your sic man my mom is 8 years post breast cancer ! Hang in there .

I don't know bout that whole "parking a GN next to busy road with a For Sale sign on it" thing.
It'll peak someone's interest alright.
That someone is probably carrying a Slim Jim, and I don't mean those interesting meat snacks.
Unless the master plan might be to get insurance to pay you for a theft.
That would be some dangerous living there.

Although - even without agreed upon coverage - you would probably get $4000 on a basic theft policy claim.
Get a bunch of pictures of that 700 mile GN for sale, and when the insurance adjuster comes, while clutching the pictures, have a box of tissues with a whole pile of used tissues on the table.
Put pepper in your eyes to make it look like you've been bawling all night.
Saying over and over 'it was my baby, my pride and joy"
"I guess I could live with 12K"
If they recover it - you can say "Look what they did to my baby" "It was flawless" :D

You could make it easier on the thieves and leave it with the keys in it.
Or running - with the door open
I'd say - 15 minutes - tops.

Sorry to hear that you're sick! Keep a positive attitude and you can beat it.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT leave your car parked with a For Sale sign unattended. My car was stolen from behind a locked fence of a body shop, when a worker accidently parked it within view of passing cars. Disappeared that night; no insurance, no reimbursement, no car.

I wish you the best of luck! If there is something I can help you with, let me know. I'm in Hauppauge.
All the best,
Bill

thanks man. yea I keep it hidden inside a locked fence covered and blocked in by another car most of the time. and when I show the car I drive it to the supermarket on rt 231. so nobody knows where I keep the car.

update on the title. I called the dmv on Tuesday and they told me that my title will be mailed on 10/30/13 for those of you who are interested
the title is a clean nys title with no liens. I am the 2nd owner.
