I'm really hoping to improve this year. 2006 was the first year I didn't improve my time BUT I significantly improved the cars consistancy.

87 GN 3445#
274" S2
DLS 236/236 cam
GN-1R Heads with raised ports
CAS Intake
Accell Gen 7
160# Injectors
CAS V1 (Extreme Automatics version)
PTE88 4-bolt (I went 156 sevreal times with the 3-bolt TSE housing)
This run was with the stock DIS ignition, the MSD DIS wasn't even hooked up
TH400 with Extreme Automatics billet valvebody and VSC
Ford 9" 3.50 gear
28.5x10.5 slicks

I believe those wheels are Weld AlumaStars.

Chris, what boost level was needed for that timeslip?

Thanks

The rims are Aluma stars with 28.5x10.5 pheonix slicks and 26" skinnies up front. I have a set of MT ET streets 13.50x28 I use on the street. They are a tight fit but the pheonix fit really nice and I do not have a really deep frame notch either.

The rims are actually for sale. I bought a set of Magnums with the one piece forged fronts. PM if any of you are interested in the aluma stars.

You will have the come out and see the car in person at one of the 4 TSO races I will be at. I've actually changed a few things around in the engine compartment and powder coated a bunch of stuff. It really looks good I will take some new pics when we go to the dyno hopefully soon.

Don, I ran 29 psi. I've yet to be over 30 with this combo on the track, it's all the other variables:rolleyes: With 32 on the engine dyno we made 1084/1067 with a smaller cam 232/232 and the C3I.
Thanks

Chris, congrats on the new times!!! The car looks awesome.

I was just wondering with these stage motors are the cars still streetable?

Read this article as it may answer your question in more than one way. You may also find Cal lurking around here somewhere.

Thanks guys I appreciate the comments. We had the car on the chassis dyno this weekend and we are ready to go for the season and we are really looking forward to the upcoming TSO point series:smile: After what we found on the dyno and some of the testing we did over the winter we should be able to better that time or better and make that a consistant # for the car to run which has always been the real goal.

Not sure why Cal would be lurking around a thread about my car?? I hear he has sold his motor is is going V8 anyway so we won't be racing together anymore.

A S2 motor isn't any less streetable than any other Buick motor. Big cams, springs and loose TQ conv's are another story. I drive mine on the street pretty regularly and I know many others that do too.

Here is an updated photo of the engine compartment and a sneak peak of my new rims. I don't have the back ones done yet, we are doing some really trick stuff with them that I will post some pics when they are finished.

Nice rims Chris! I had to buy a set of Alumastars for the back AND THEN Weld sold me the Magnum centers to replace the star because they were not able to sell the whole wheel? Hope you had better luck than I did!
