8.5 rear 10 bolt

Found a 8.5 rear in a chevy station wagon mid 80's Has anyone used this rear in a regal?Could not measure at the time,but it looks like it could work maybe.Any input would help.

It will not fit. Mounting points for the suspension are all in the wrong location and its way to long in width to fit under the sheet metal. You might be able to use the carrier if it has the correct splines for the axles. Our cars came with 28 spline axles. 1988 and older B-bodies use 28 splines. 1989 and newer use 30 splines. Ring and pinions are the same regaurdless of year as long as it is 8.5.
