hey all, just wondering if anybody is running a pte 70 gtq with 85 Exh? how do you like it? how much is the difference between a 63 housing? does anybody run anything in between?
Running a .63 is defeating the purpose of what you are trying to do with a 3 bolt 70 GTQ. I dont see the point. The exhaust side is the limiting factor even with a .85 housing. All the TSM cars ive seen all had .85 housings. Id just run a smaller exhaust wheel or a BB cartridge rather than a 70 GTQ with a .63 if i was worried about spool up. If its a journal bearing it will need a 3800 stall on a 231. The 70GTQ is not needed until you plan on trapping at least 137mph.
thanks guys, just wondering.... i am running the 85 with a loose 3800. runs good. just had it in my mind for quite some time now. most people went with the BB. i think i'll stick to my set up.
