4x10 to 6x9 adapter... anyone?

Anyone ever use an adapter for the rear speakers? Something such as this?

I'm not an audio pro at all, it's just that my rear speakers are shot (whoever owned the car before me put 4x6 in there) and I'm looking for something that won't crack n pop when I crank the tunes. Starting with speakers for now and I'll look into bass solutions (subwoofer, etc) later

Am I ok with 4x10 or should I look into that adapter if it'll fit?...
