I have a "291" 4.1 liter short block and "515" casting cyl heads. What have other TTA owners used as head bolts to correctly fasten the cylinder heads to the short block? It seems that the crux of the dilema is fastening 3.0 liter cyl heads to the 4.1 block requires a special or custom head bolt.

Last I remembered u need two sets of GN ARPies to make one TTA set.

As far as headbolts go at least:)

No one makes a TTA specific headbolt set.

Maybe try dealer for stock bolt set?

The solution at hand to mate the 515 heads to the 291 block was to place a special order from ARP:

4 bolts 4.0" long
4 bolts 2.875" long
8 bolts 2.0" long

Cost $59.75 plus shipping.

It appears that the 291 block has the threads recessed approximately 3/4" into the block. When we started this engine project...never anticipated the issues that have cropped up...live and learn.

The bolts dont go through like on the 109 block.

Thanks for the heads up on the lengths.
