I have a precision 3 bolt 88 that has the bolt on flange downpipe, stock style. What is the horsepower rating for this small housing? Does anyone have any enfo on this turbo? Could i change housings to a v band? thanks

Going from memory here, the 3-bolt PT88 turbo was rated to support 1100 flywheel hp when maxed out. That housing was dubbed the "Cantelope" housing because it was so huge, when compared to the other 3-bolt turbine housings. It made one official race at BG before it was outlawed from competition. It was specifically created to be legal to the, then rules, for TSE class at the GS Nationals. Back then, the rules stated any 3-bolt turbine housing equipped turbo. ;) So the wizards in the back shop, created the PT88 3-bolt monster. I believe this was circa 1999.

We made a .96 T4 inlet, 4" v-band downpipe flange style turbine housing for this turbo. It was part number TH88TAN. Currently I one of those housings left. Once it's gone though, I doubt more castings will ever be made.
Hope this helps.
