I have a CZ series 200r4 that has had some mods to it. Shift kit, hardened parts, billet servo, Bowtie overdrives TV setup. It is in my GSX with 455 running about 460 hp. I also have a D5 converter with 2800 stall. I run a 3:73 gear.
Basically this setup works great if I manually shift it or if I drive it with a very light foot. The problem is when I use more than half throttle while the transmission is in higher gears with the transimission in drive. In this situation the transmission will downshift too many gears. Example 40 mph in drive, floor the throttle and transmission will go to 1st gear. That is about 5000 rpm. Immidiate flash to 6000 and hard shift to second. Then it will downshift again! Would like to have a little better behavior in drive. Is this possible with my setup?
