2004r and one piece main seal?

I just finished building my 350. It is a 93 with the 1 piece real main seal. I have a built 2004r out of a Monte Carlo SS that I wanted to run behind it. Problem is, torque converter off the 2004r doesn't match up with the newer flexplate. Anyone run into this problem before? I guess I could notch the flexplate holes to fit. would a 700r4 converter fit the 2004r? Is there another flexplate that will interchange?

Find a flexplate that will work with the torque convertor. Monte SS's from 86-88 had one piece rear main engines with the 2004R transmission, so they will fit with the right parts. Good luck.
