2003 West Coast Buick Nats.

How about a link?

I might go to that if the Metro is in order.

Do the tech very hard? If the Metro isn't finished, I will bring the GN if Mrs. Nashty permits us to go in the first place. Will they kick me out for running 10's without a roll bar?

As far as Vegas in general, can I park my trailer there somewhere and just go into Vegas to the Casinos? Do people drive around down town or do you just take buses or taxis?

Where would be a decent place to stay near the track? Is it possible to park the trailer for a couple of days somewhere so I could go downtown and stay there for a little?

Vegas, never been there, want to go there...

Link isn't ready yet. I need some more time.

Every year we find a host hotel that allows the car trailers. That's not my piece of the pie, so I'll let Jon or Craig post when the host hotel info is ready.

My official answer to track tech is "always expect to be teched according to NHRA rules!" However, I know of exceptions during the past events; but don't use that as a gauge for this year.

Good News !!

Mrs. Nashty (actually her name is Colleen) says Vegas is a cool idea and actually WANTS to go AND she said we can still go to BG & Morroco this year !!! (I worry she may be taking drugs ;) )

We may trailer the car but we may end up flying out (I'd rather bring the car but we'll see). If the Metro isn't done, we probably won't be taking the GN in case they boot me. (Didn't Geno run 9's without a bar there?)

Scott, sent you mail. I graduated from Roseville High School in 85. Roseville is an hour south of Milan on 67 (10 minutes south of Monmouth).

Hmm, with no Bristol this year might be able to make Vegas..:D Only a 31 hour Drive

Like Nashty said, need safe place to park trailers for a few days, Do the Hotels off the strip have some kind of RV or Trailer parking??

For the past 2 years we've used Main Street Station that sectioned off a piece of their parking lot for car trailers, etc. and had a security guard watch over the place. We've also asked the track about parking there in the past, and they seem "ok" with it. If the track don't allow you to park in the fenced in paved lot, the neighboring gravel lot is huge. So there are some options available. Come on down!

You can also park your trailer/car at my house.....plenty of room....for about 50........it will be gated by race time time this year......and alarmed and german shepard gaurded....

Such a kidder!
Ron- If you e-mail me privately at granatl@lvcm.com with your info, I'll make up a banner ad for you this year, and actually spell it right; unless it happens to be a day that ends in "y", which would make it a real crap shoot! :D

The website is well under way, and should be available to the public in the next couple of weeks, depending on some of the new features that I'd like to add.

Mike McCoy - Thanks for contributing. I've already added your banner, etc.

I'll just stick with the safe "someday soon" answer...
I feel like a kid on Xmas eve, just yearning to drive it again.
I got to see Marty's new wheels yesterday. With both of us having ground effects, and living so close, we could really create havoc for the other with the cops! :)
I went to Nevada House of Hose the other week to check about getting some A/C tubes made for the condensor. He quoted me at something like $45 a piece. Is that fair, or do you know of some place cheaper?

Hey, do you Vegas guys ever have TR get togethers besides the big once a year event? My dad lives in Henderson so I'm out that way all the time. Besides I also know a cute gal that cocktails at the Venetian that is worth visiting. ;) Maybe we could do a small get together soon? Possibly do some racing and kill a couple brews. :) What do you think? Damn, I loved that track when I was out there in November!

Glad you liked the event!
We used to get together regularly for a breakfast, picnic, whatever. Then, as people's lives changed, interest faded, so we haven't done one in probably at least a year.
My engine is down near Henderson (well, not exactly, but the rule is that you're always 20 minutes away from something in this valley...). If you're missing the bruised knuckles from wrenches, I'd be GLAD to let you put the beast together and go racing! ;)
Sure, we can set something up for a few beers some evening. Just shoot me an e-mail when you're heading this way again.

Side note to everyone: We had some fun with the Smack Board last year, so this year, if all goes well, I'll just do a full fledged board for the fun of it; no holds barred! :D {With so many different cars being represented this year, it could really get going. Even so, always treat your fellow racers with respect, and make sure they know that you're just messing with them}

Yeah, Marty's new car is pretty nice. All stock, but I think he has plans to remedy that. I got my car back running yesterday with the new MaxEffort R Mafless. Havent really ripped on it yet, but the drivability seems to be great.
P.S. Im always up for a beer !!

That would be great, I'm more worried about a few days before/after the event, I'd like to stay a few extra days, I'm sure we could find something to do..;)

Sponsorship for Buick race

Jack, You can count the BGNRA "Buick Grand National Racing Association" in again this year. I will figure out was the club will be donating to the event. So get us up in a big Banner Ad ASAP.

Thanks again, Steve Hurst-President-BGNRA

Hopefully I won't have the only TTA there again his year. Actually, I still haven't gotten it back together since last WCN. I'll be done by Oct. Maybe I can keep it together this time. See y'all there!

I destroyed my last engine 2 events ago, but it was actually on the way home.
I think this was suggested last year, but maybe we should have a get together a Jon's 2 days before the event and put his TTA back together again!
Look on the bright side, you have a good shot at being 1 of the fastest 3 F-Bodies there! :)
