Guys i could you some feed back on this subject.
My WH1 is nearly complete at the body shop. I have 2 issues at present. The car had no badges on it when i inherited it and was blacked out
First issue . The body man showed me the center color numbers on the trunk and it came up as a royal blue. (Showed me in his book). I did some research on our forum and came up with a charcoal metallic. (Color number that came up under Wh1 paint code search)Looks a little dark to me I've seen a couple similar but perhaps not as dark.. Were there different colors used on these Wh1 cars?
Next issue.. different style "T" fender badges. is this a difference in years... Which ones to use?? The ones in the bags are new and very nice..
Gentlemen I appreciate any insight you can give on this subject,
Joe Stuart

A true WH1 car should be charcoal and black. However there were a few two tone blue cars that were done in the WH1 style, but I don't believe they actually had the WH1 RPO code, it would likely be a D84 code.

I have never heard of the blue cars. I definitely have the WH1 RPO code, and a paint code that comes back as a royal blue for the center. The interior was originally blue with gray seats and gray carpet if I'm not mistaken. The panels were in the process of being Dyed when I got the car, and rather than go back I went forward-ugggh... I remember my dad saying that it was a rare turbo car.. Any idea how many cars came from the factory with that black and royal blue combination? I will post the RPO when I either pick it up or going to the body shop next. The car has maybe 50 RPO codes total so there is not much to it lol,but has the WH1 and D84
Thank you, Joe

The badges on the right are the correct ones. Don't forget the intercooled badges also if it's a 86. The other 2 badges are likely from a fwd LeSabre T-Type. The body guy should have got the paint codes off the firewall (below the vin). D-84 is an 87 option since WH-1 ended in 86.

There weren't any black/blue two tone cars. They were dark/light blue, silver/dark grey, charcoal/black tan/brown or rosewood/dark red

All WH1 cars were charcoal/black with grey interior.

Very nice car.. I'm sure you are right with the D 84. I'll get in there tomorrow and snap a RPO pic. and the one below the v.i.n.
I will snap a photo of the dash since it has not been dyed yet and post that as well. It is still blue like half the car was before I completed dying it.

Little bit of an update. The rear deck lid had been replaced the VIN number does not match the car on the RPO. That's where the royal blue paint number came from. The number that was originally attached to the door matches the VIN number and has the WH 1 option. I've included some pics. The dash is still original color and I guess it would be considered gray although it looks like it has a blue tint to it but that could be the age of me and my eyes or the car itself. Maybe I could get a little help deciphering some of these codes
Thank you guys I do appreciate your time.
