Sort of off topic.
Looking at a new vehicle.
I have the option of getting 16" or 17" rims.
Is there any advantage or drawbacks to getting one or the other.
Thanks.

16" have more tire options available.

17" look more agressive and will look even better if you decide to lower the car. BUT- They have very little sticky tire options available and traction even with a drag radial will not be so good since the sidewall won't have much flex.

If you are going to race the car stay with 15" or 16" at the most.

Again, apologize for being off topic.
This will be my wife's vehicle. She won't be racing, as I took all her money for GN parts.:)
Just want her to have a cool looking vehicle which is safe - and can get her home okay in a snow storm.
Appreciate your advice about the tires.
Thanks
