I get a 12 on my gm code reader...scanmaster doesnt say anything. I know I am getting gas, I can smell it; must be spark or a sensor???

is it worth advancing the timing 4deg. im putting in a new chain and gear from cloyes. it has the three position crank gear, motor internals are stock as far as i know. check below for other aftermarket add ons. thanks in advance. jason

something came loose in the bottom end. engine turns over but the balancer doesn't rotate. im hoping its just the woodruf key and not a broken crank snout. question is what size is the nut on the balancer (so i can buy one)?
