I'm removing the drivers seat of an 86 Limited. It is a power seat that is all the way forward with the motors not working. I can't seem to get to the front bolts. Is there any way to move the seat back manually?

While O-rings can be cut up from over tightening, it would have to be out of its seat in order for that to happen. O-rings also need to be squeezed in order to create the seal. Hand tightening with loc-tight will do nothing to create the seal. They are just putting up a song and dance...

Don't use the impact, it will only round the bolt heads more. Use the PB or other bolt spray to loosen them up and use the vice grips. You can also go to Sears and get sockets that are specialy made for rounded bolts. The sockets have some pins in the middle that will fit around the rounded...
