I think there was a disscussion on things like this awhile ago. It would theoretically work, but if you sprayed it during a race it would do no good since the fins have to absorb it, then relay it to the intake air. In other words you'd have to spray it pre-race. I never tried it but thought...

Usually Internal ECM faults keep the fan running all the time. The ECM grounds the relay for the fans. You also should check the relay. I think they're on the drivers side close to the fender.

I think the gaskets are thinner than stock and may slightly raise the compression. I don't think they work as well as stock either.

I got rid of mine by adjusting the TV cable. I guess the pressure was lower, so the tranny didn't slam into gear. Of course it shifts at low RPM's too though.

I had the same problem with mine...I'll look in the book tomorrow, there is a wire that can be cut easily under the dash that goes to the VTD module.

With a TA-49, 40 pounders, ported heads, yadayadayada, 23 psi and street radials and 93 I turned a 12.0@113...so I don't doubt you there...as for the timing thing...you were using the GM Kent-Moore Tech 1? Were you taking readings in Road Test, or Diag (10K)?? I can't remember which is which...
