87 gn when under accel heat comes on full blast (not blower just temp) at idle seems to get cooler a/c compressor works (134a system) pressures good, any ideas? I did replace the one way valve under hood. are there any others? Thanks.

ok so I got tired of my 87 GN being too quiet so it unbolted mufflers and put straight pipe in place. now its way too loud, muffler ideas?

Thanks everyone!!! had car out today Did small burnout and saw 10.1 knock on scan master backed out , no parts laying in road so I figured ok........ New to this, what controls timing on these cars? I own a repair shop in MD. work on cars every day but not very familiar with these cars.

didnt have 100 octane when it happened i did look at fuel pressure and i'm at 43 lbs at idle. (vac. hose undone)

Took my 87 GN out today, good fuel (93 sunoco), about 88 degrees outside , i got into it and looked down at scan master and saw 10.3 on knock! Backed out of it and it has not done it again. sensor fixed it right up Iguess i should look into an ls1 sensor and translator.

yes i did check intercooler hoses. i'm going to try aftermarket MAF and see if it fixes problem . i spend alot with NAPA auto parts every month and if it works i'll return it and swap to ls1 and translator.
