LOL, I knew his words would bring out some great post. I love the oddity of a Limited T, and it has a proper arm rest.... how can you beat that!!! I once had a guy tell me "Nice Olds" I told him it is a Buick. He says no way man that's Oldsmobile. We were at the front of the car and I...

    Kids will say the darndest

Yesterday I was in the garage with my son. I am looking after a good friends Grand National and it is parked beside my limited. So I ask the age old question to my 9 year old son "which one is cooler" with out skipping a beat he points at the GN. I put on the look of pure...

So.....Where was YOUR TB originally purchased??

Mine was Built June 87 and purchased new in October 87 at Archer Motors Nipawin Saskatchewan. Believe they closed their doors in 2004. I purchased the Buick from the second owner with 44000kms (documented) in Goderich Ontario in 2008. One of 80 Limiteds exported to Canada.

    Value of T Type

As the proud owner of a silver "granddad's" Buick. I love it. Vinyl roof, cornering lights, column shift, pillow top split bench cloth seat and plush carpet! When I take my Turbo T to a car show almost everyone walks by it. Next to no one even takes a look at it. I often have to explain that...

His confusion must have been from being able to get a 305 Chev V8 in a Regal for Canadian export

    Could this really happen?

Wait you mean that the Provincial Government that invested billions and billions in "green energy" and are now implementing a cap and trade tax, who caused hydro bills to nearly triple and have driven out manufacturing jobs all to save the earth from global warming were wrong???

    Raised white letters or blackwalls?

Look on your RPO code in the inside of the trunk lid (of it is still there) the raise white letter tires were an option. RPO - QYH (P215/65RX15 SBR W/LETTERED) is the code, if it is not on the sticker car came with black wall tires.

    Total production numbers?

If it is still on the car, there is a sticker on the driver's door in the jam that has the month/year it was produced. Going by the 61498 I would guess late October early November 87 for date of production. There where roughly 65000 Regals produced for the 87 model year.

What Number GN do i have???

The 4 can be thought of as a 0 in the sequence of the VIN. It reaffirms that it is a Buick. If over a 100000 Regals had been produced, the last 6 numbers in the VIN would be 500001 or the 100001st Buick of the year. The 57838 indicates that it was the 57838th Buick Regal produced in that...
