I got 'er done. Thanks to those who replied. bowl on the the steering column is a little sloppy but the shifter hits all gears with relavtive ease and yes I do have my shifter cable connected to the transmission lever that is connected to the linkage to the column. No rewiring for backup lights...

finally gotta hold of someone at hurst and they have discontinued all the dual gate models.

I got one off ebay. the same model number you have listed above. last year they were available at summit. just checked recently and they are unavailable and dont know if its becasue of low stock or no more production. Im ghopefully going to give it a shot this summer.

Noticed hurst offers a dual gate 2 version for the 700r4 and 2004r. just wondering if anybody has doen this swap. looking into getting one. the spec sheet says is for the 73-91 cammaros/firebird but Im hoping to get one in my cutlass and hook it up to my 2004r. Any thoughts welcome.
