I had the same problem and it was the flat connector as stated in the last post. Easy fix if that is the problem. The white wire was broken.

I bought a 1 1\2 champion spacer from Cotton.

Buy some silly putty or clay and put on top of your plenum, close and open your hood and measure the thickness of the clay. Worked for me.

RJC 3M adhesive on gasket I decided to use the Fel-Pro 1000 gasket. Would it help to use a coating of the 3m adhesive that RJC uses on his head gaskets? I have some remaining from the RJC gaskets that I tried first. Nothing wrong with the RJC gaskets other than they are for the 3.8 block.

Any opinions on the Fel-Pro 1000 head gasket?

I have friend building a 396 ci LT1. I gave him my old 36lb bluetops but he needs at least two more, but would buy a set if necessary. I don't think you can buy new ones anymore.

No, I have not pressure tested yet. I may need to do that before I start disassembly. The engine has not been run yet, thats what I was going to do yesterday.
