Mike, At a 4" bore, what is the remaining cylinder wall thickness? At what thickness is the wall too thin?

It appears that the exh guides extend into the port. I personally would replace those to get them out of the exhaust stream. They are notorious for cracking after repeated heat cycling. If one breaks off it ends up in your turbo. Cant help you with a value though.

Actually the opposite is true. With the increased ring seal come less oil contamination. The rings are allowed to do their job more efficently.

Or seal the valve covers and convert to a dry sump. Will help with ring seal and make more power.
