    Wrong forum for this how ever... I take it you havent done a brake job on it yet either$$$$$$$$$ those brakes came on 67&68 ONLY and parts are pretty much non existant. Change them out for 69 and up single piston disc brakes and that will fix your wheel problems as well. The 15" wheels...

    Yep check the bulb. a Volt meter should read 12V on the Brown wire any time the key is on. If not and the rest of the dash works. Its probably the bulb:smile:

    Bingo a stock chip will run with the 42's but PIG rich and will miss and stumble....... sounds like your problem.... it was common in the early 90's to run like this.... I did.... damn that was dumb..... contact turbo tweak:)

    right were tou depressed it there is a wire ring going around the shakt kinda like a C-clip only external. once you slide the ring up out of its groove and release the lock plate pressure the spring behind it will push it up. the ring is at the base of the shaft in a groove. stopping that...

    sounds to me like you dont have a lock plate remover. :confused: it is a u-shaped piece of meatal and a nut on a tapered stud that screws on the shaft. pressing the lock plate down so you can acsess the little round clip. if you pry you will break the column. the plastic thing you tore off...
