    L67 F-bird

Seems like your Buick rejected the "designed for Chevy" parts... Even though lots of the LS stuff was engineered from 3800 technology, I guess its not all backwards compatible, or maybe you just got a bad one. Stuff happens. Maybe older Buick Turbo parts are a better fit? Let us know what you...

I need a little help identifying my hot air parts for my next project!

Are you sure? I just pulled a rod cap and I don't see the same thing as my Buick Power Source manual shows when it references a "rolled fillet" crank. Mine just looks sorta smooth... Is there a different number I should look for on the crank or is it a legit turbo crank just with 229 on in?

I need a little help identifying my hot air parts for my next project!

Well, SORT OF SFI, I am using a multiport intake from a FWD car that fits the heads well. I have a set of OEM 87 GN turbo headers, and the modifications and adapters that I need I can do myself. My main worry is the block and heads. If the crank is a turbo piece, then I'm happy enough to run...

I need a little help identifying my hot air parts for my next project!

Hey guys, I don't post here a lot, mostly I'm just doing tons of research because this site is treasure trove of info for me. I'm a super low budget guy, so I'm trying to figure out exactly what I have and how far it can be pushed. First off, the engine I have supposedly came from a 1980...

    Series II L67 Grand National??!!??

Absolutely correct. But the bore spacing was not changed, and neither was the cylinder head bolt pattern. By shortening the deck height, it changed the requirements for the intake manifold, and then they went ahead and redesigned the heads for valve arrangement and then the cam to match...

    Series II L67 Grand National??!!??

It wasn't really a "clean sheet" design, such as the LS series V8 is to the old small block chevy. It was in fact the highest state of evolution that the Buick V6 attained before it was discontinued. The last mods to the block construction design were in the late 80's, when the block changed to...

12's year round is a wonderful goal. I'll keep watching to see when it happens! Nice touch using old Turbo Buick rims for the slicks! :)

Dynamic EFI EBL Flash System For GM Sequential V6 Boosted Engines....

Well, I am not starting with a Buick or TTA that had the 7148. I am starting with a V6 Firebird that is about to get a Buick V6 transplanted under the hood. I'm thinking it may get a VIN "C" harness now, too. I have the factory service manual for my 3rd gen Firebird, so the wiring on that end...

Dynamic EFI EBL Flash System For GM Sequential V6 Boosted Engines....

Since I'm not starting with a Buick, I guess I should start with a Buick engine harness? Other than a GN or TTA, what car can I use an engine harness that will have most of the wiring I need? Will the LeSabre from say, 87-94 have most of the right wiring in it? Is there an aftermarket harness...

Series 1 / Series 2 camshaft swap dilemma?

Well, just looking at them, it seems like the Series 1 and Series 2 3800 use a very similar head setup. The ports are in the same spots. The Series 1 3800 engines I am talking about would be the 1991-1994 engines that had the aluminum "Tuned Port Injection" intakes. From what I read, the switch...

Series 1 / Series 2 camshaft swap dilemma?

Ok, super tech guys, I need some serious help here. I'm not at home where I can take all the measurements myself so I am hoping that someone can answer this for me. Can I use a Series II cam in a Series I engine? The reason I ask, is I would like to build a Series I long block and I can't seem...

    Series II L67 Grand National??!!??

I'll keep that in mind if I end up with a series 2 engine. There are so many of the first 3800 engines around, I'm not too worried. Thanks for the info, though, I appreciate it.
