    Shop lift

Both me and my brother both have a Bendpak XPR-10A. Neither have had any problems. When I was looking, I liked the rotary a lot, but was quite a bit more. However, my brothers bendpak looked like it was built well and had been holding up good. It was cheaper, so I decided on it to. I have had...

    Transmission Jack

I ended up getting a Bendpak/Ranger RTJ-1 1 ton 2 stage from summit. It ended up being 550 with free shipping. Really the only thing that sold me on it was the fact that bendpak sells replacement parts for it. I don't really like buying things you can't get parts for. I called a few other places...

    Transmission Jack

I am looking to get a 2 stage transmission jack to use with my lift. I am looking for something around $500 middle of the line. For those who use them often, what do you have and is it holding up? Thanks

    Balance Question...

TA has already made them. They come with a bolt on weight to be balanced externally if that's what you want to do. I picked one up to replace by cracked one when I built my short block. They are a really nice looking piece and a good bit cheaper then the BHJ.

    Cylinder Bore Taper

We are going to go ahead and bore it .020 over and start fresh. Like, I said, I just want it to be right. Just trying to get as much info as I can. On another note, does anyone have any experience with the Molnar rods?

    Cylinder Bore Taper

I'm not cheaping out on anything. I just didn't want to bore a block that didn't need it. I just want it to be right. That's the reason I posted. If it needs bored I will bore it no big deal. It is a lot of money, that's why I ask questions and find out as much as I can. Thanks for the replys...

    Cylinder Bore Taper

Do any of the TB vendors sell a standard JE piston? I'm not seeing none on the sites. Several carry the std. Diamonds but not the JE's. I will get that info from my machinist and get a diameter on a std. Diamond and JE and see if it will work. Is one preferred over the other? Posted from the...

    Cylinder Bore Taper

I don't have the pistons yet. I was waiting on some feedback to determine whether to bore or not. My machinist said if it was his he would run it. He is well respected and I trust him, but I would like to hear from others here. However, if it is bored, he would need the pistons before he honed...

    Cylinder Bore Taper

What bore taper is within spec on these blocks? The machine shop just checked my bore and all cylinders have a taper between 0.002 and 0.003. Its got a forged steel crank with 3 billet caps. I need to get my rods and pistons. I don't want to bore it if it doesn't need it. So what is within spec...

    Garage security tips

If its an option get a dog. With a heavy door, padlock, alarm, and motion lights combined with a good guard dog you should be fine. Like was said, if someone wants it bad enough, they will get it. However, most won't even bother if there is a dog around. It don't even have to be mean. It just...

    Lower Rear Control Arms

I believe both the stock length and the longer arms both have the same bushings. I already have the HR bar, built rear, etc. The car is only a mid 11 second car at the moment, but in the process of a motor build. However, I am still running the car while we're building the motor. I still have...

    Lower Rear Control Arms

I have a question about HRs LCA's. On the HR website it says they are recommended for high horsepower cars with limited street use. I know the longer arms will affect the pinion angle, but it can be adjusted back with adjustable uppers. So why not use for a street car application to help...
