Vin # on engine, trans and rear end

I did this whole "check the numbers" exercise some months back after seeing some tips on where to find the numbers. Mine was good - Which would seem normal for 1,210 miles on the ticker. I posted about it somewhere, probably over at the TTA site. Mine's gone to a new owner in Canada this...

You might own a Turbo Trans Am if...

Sounds like people like me sitting on 1,200 mile originals are missing all the fun :-) I just sold that car, and had no idea what I was missing out on :-) Mike

Motor Trend cover this month says...

GM should not try to pedal their new stuff by bringing up names from the past. Oftentimes it does more harm to the originals than it does good for the new car. I vote to leave the GN and GNX names alone - And don't even think of making another TTA either! Mike

How Much Will This Go For???

At $39,500 with 12 hours to go ... Not a bad start!

Anyone can help with a closeup photo of the sticker/label on the rearend cover

Jan, I didn't forget about this. Work, kids, wife with MS ... I don't get much 'me' time, but I'm not complaining. I do have that sticker, and only had my cell phone camera with me last time I was at the car. Try as I might, nothing very useful. I'll get by with a real camera next time I'm...

    1/8 vs 1/4

Most all the damage I've ever done racing a car was either at the line, or in the first 60' ... Not sure I buy the 1/8 argument saying it's better on the car. I only like 1/4 - I never could see the point of the 1/8, and driver's races don't intrique me. I go to the track to see fast cars...

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

I typically buy and sell them sight unseen, but still have that "oh boy, let's see what happens" feeling each time. I think people should SEE them (or choose not to) before placing a bid, especially a winning bid. I interview my bidders a bit to make sure they actually have money, as I know...

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

Not to get off topic (more than we already have), but the comment you made above caught my attention. You said "Didn't have time to go look at it in person before the window to pay was up"? Maybe I read that wrong, but the way I see it is when you win the Bid, you own the car whether you go...

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

I've sold some cars on eBay and never had a problem. Over the years I've gotten pretty good at weeding out the shoppers from the buyers. It becomes a gut instinct after doing it long enough ... It's never popular when I cancel someone's eBay bid, but I do end up with a real buyer. Good luck...

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

Are you trying to convince me to not pay these bills laying on my desk?! Seriously, that sounds like an awesome ride. You said "Almost mint" in the eBay ad. What areas would you consider less than mint? Mike

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

I don't need this temptation right now ... Kid starting university, and a wife racking up doctor bills! Seriously, it seems the TTA cars have dipped a lot lately in value. Shame really since I think they have great legs in the near future ... Wish I had lots more money to throw around...

TTA Festival cloth car #14 is for sale

I thought it was a good buy at the Buy It Now, but didn't make a low 20's offer because I knew (or thought I did) it would be turned down. That's a great buy on that car ... Lots of room for appreciation when the market starts moving.

How do you guys like the Hooker cat back system/

I don't have one on my TTA, but I had a Hooker catback on my '01 Formula LS1. I loved that catback!!
