Darth is exactly right. Adjusting the boost bypass valve, or changing it's internal spring pressure will have no effect on how fast boost ramps up on these engines. Full boost is nearly instantaneous with our roots-type blowers.

We blew countless head gaskets early in the year. This was resolved by running ARP head studs, our MLS gaskets and richening up the air/fuel...
Boost was solid at 22.0 psi all the way to 7,200 RPM.
We ran it ultra rich just to play things safe. The wideband showed 11.3:1 for most of the run.
Wheel horsepower was over 400 from 5,100 RPM all the way to 7,200 RPM.
Peak wheel horsepower was 535.6 at 6,200 RPM.

Actually, this was a budget project. I think we've spent somewhere around $20,000 on it INCLUDING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE CAR.
