Met some members today at the track SIR in Tucson. Was racing my Mopar. But, thanks for all the input and questions I had about My son's turbo car. matt
My son's motor has a 160,000 miles on it and he is putting some upgrades on it. I'm sure the springs could use replacing. What valve springs should be used as a replacement for stock springs. The motor at this point will still be using the stock cam. thx matt s
I think BoostKing has some issues to check out on his car. But, he made the mistake of driving his other car last night which has an 8in 4500 conv. How hard will a 12 sec GN leave? thx matt
This is BoostKing's sort of crew member:biggrin: . Yes, exhaust manifolds are cracked. And he's used to his Mopar street car that goes mid 12's w/high 1.60 60 fts. These hair dryer car's are completely different animals right? Also, will the cracked manifolds make a big difference? Also are the...
We picked up a RollMaster for my son's car. Upon teardown he doesn't think it will fit. New chain has one bolt. He says existing is completely different. I haven't seen it yet. What are the ins and outs on these things. thx matt
We're working on a motor with 160,000 miles. At this point it's getting a new turbo, timing chain, radiator. Because of the mileage I think a oil pump should be included on the list. Will a standard sealpower pump suffice? Or do you just change the gears on these Bufords? thx matt
We're changing a dead turbo on a high mile stock GN. My son is thinking about a TA49. What other mods are needed to run this turbo? Should the injector be upgraded? As far as changing out the turbo goes the oil return tube looks like it has carbon in it. If it drains back into the motor...
We now have a GN in the family. I'm a Mopar Man (10sec small block) but the deal my brother threw at my son we couldn't pass up. Don't know anything about computers, injection and Turbos but they intrigue me.
The car my son bought has 160,000 miles on it. The car was parked for a few years...
