So I just bought a set of T/A stock style replacement headers and I am debating having them coated since I've already dropped a significant chunk of change on the new headers... I was wondering how the swaintech coating is holding up and more important how much did you pay? Also in the end do...
I'm putting my front springs back in here in an hour or two... this is my first time doing it, and overall the front suspension wasn't bad coming apart. I did the LCA bushings myself with the BJ press from Autozone and other than the steel bushings not being tapped, it was straightforward.

Almost bought an engine today... Found a nice looking 2002 4.8 right around the corner from me with 160K miles for $350. I can probably get it for $300 if I go back monday. It's got a few more miles than I want, but honestly it's really just a starting point so as long as starts and runs I'll be...
Are you talking about a complete turbo setup or just the actual engine?
a 5.3 or 4.8 donor engine can be found for as little as $100... they'll average about $500 for a low mile clean engine though. The Ls6 heads and cam and supporting hardware might run anywhere between $1000 and $2000...
Very excited to see how this turns out! Been home sick all day wrecking my brain what I am going to do for my LS swap... a single 450 wont cut it, a double pumper will get it a little further, and I even debated running an external 8gal fuel cell with an external pump running off a hobbs switch...
