Curious what everyone feels was the best single mod they did to their car? Doesn't have to be performance related. In fact, mines not.

Being a taller guy mine would be getting an extra set of seat tracks, cutting 1" + out of them and rewelding. Head is no longer into the headliner. Made my own mount extensions too that pushed the seat back another 2". Car is much more comfortable to drive.

You sound like a scary guy.:nailbiting: Reminds me of the character 'Hightower' from the movie "Police Academy"!!
Although, it's not too hard to frighten me. I'm only 5'-7":(

E85 conversion .. or a alky control kit if you don't have E85 near you ... no questions .. best bang for the buck hands down

These seats are so high from the factory it felt more like Harry from Harry and the Hendersons.

yea its amazing taking a stocker .. Throwing $500 bucks at it and tickling 11's .. throw a te44 at it and its a mid 11 second car ... amazing results

I'm going to say installing the ATR Pit Bull Street Chip back in late '87, not so much for performance gain, but for way better drivability. I can't say I've been as impressed as much with any of the modd's since.
I loved that chip and the way it made the car drive, which is still in the car until I pull it to put in the TT 5.7 - E85 chip in the next week, so we will see.

The single best mod you can make is to get a better paying job so you can get more fun stuff for your T/R mistress. At least that's what I did. LOL

you won't even recognize the car on E85 ... you will be impressed .. yet to have someone that didn't say " I can't believe the difference "

Best non-perf mod for me was the vacuum brake conversion

Best perf mod has been alky injection

Biggest bang for the buck and backed up at the drag strip was the PTC 17 blade NL converter. That netted the most ET improvement without any changes. Other than that, AlkyControl hands down. Keeps the intake temps really low.

I'm working on a similar mod using Fiero seat tracks.
The best mod I did, by far, was installing a front suspension kit (from a company that shall not be named) involving taller ball joints and appropriate upper a-arms. Never thought this car was capable of driving and handling the way it does now.

Ripping out the *^%^*&$* buzzer. First mod I do to all my cars.

Which just inspired me to look at wiring schematics.....

...I wonder if I can make some kind of ''factory'' warning device using that POS for something good like an overtemp, overboost, knock, etc.. warning....

Great, that's all I need... another wheel to reinvent....

TurboTweak chip and Kirban center armrest... Sorry that's all I got.

I have done alot of the mods mentioned, but the best one i ever did to my car was polyurethane body mounts. Could not believe the difference in the way the car road. Alot of work but well worth the effort once you are done.
