Where is this car?

I'll assume this was moved for good reason but thought it should be under Cars Wanted. Anyway, hopefully someone can give me an answer.

no clue here.

something in particular you like about it or just looking for a budget GNX?

Rough memory, it was sold and bought reasonable and then resold for a whole pile of $$.

I loved the car when it was built. I really would've bought it but I was deeeep into my NSX moneywise at the time. I do love the look of the GNX but would prefer badgeless as no to "pretend" I have a real one. Still want it.
I'm considering getting out of the NSX soon and would love to see more of this car.

That car sold the second or third time for about the price of a real mid mile x.

I may have found it. Price just keeps going up.

Ok so I strongly feel this is the car that was built from Kash's garage several years back. While I have no VIN to compare, every detail leads me to believe it is. It is in Florida as well. It's been years since I've had a GN and I'd like to make an offer. I'm thinking $30,000
So what would a fair offer be? Thank you for any help.

I was under the impression the last buyer paid more then the current asking price...
Make a offer all they can do is say no.

Guys calls me today since I've sent him a text asking if Kash's garage built the car. He played it off like he had no idea if it was but said it could be. He kept referring to it as "the GNX" and when I made the comment, it's really not a GNX he acted like I insulted him and said it is no different than a real GNX. I could tell this wasn't going well and when I asked about what would it take to fly down, and make an offer, he started quoting what real GNX's are going for. Kind of reminded me of some of the post's from back when it was for sale here. Very similar. I told him I'd like to drive it back to Texas and he acted like I was crazy. I guess I'll come up with a number and hope not to insult him too terribly. Thanks for the input guys.

So he wants you to think he has a 1200 mile gnx and is asking $37,500? Sounds like a scam. Ask him for the Vin so you can do a Carfax.

Actually he said it's been driven only 1200 miles since the complete build. I'm pretty positive it's the car sold here awhile back and the guy was banned for being a prick if I remember correctly. It's a fine car and likely GNX quality but it's not a GNX since Mclaren's never touched it. I'm not sure about $37,500. Maybe $32,000.

I remember when it was for sale here a few years ago. Maybe wait for it to show up on eBay or buy a low mile gn for $20-$25k and put on the gnx repro stuff yourself. Does it have real gnx wheels?

Rick, if it is the same car it's probably the best clone èver done. That I know of.

I just don't like the fact that the seller is trying to sell it as a real gnx. Makes me sad that he might find a sucker at $37,500. I agree it is a nice looking car but who knows maybe it was wrecked and rebuilt since we saw it here.

The guy asked me if I was intrested in the GNX jacket with it. I nicely responded, I'm not intrested in the jacket since it's not a real GNX. He got huffy. Car has good stuff and a spectacular paint job which is rare on any GN. He can pull the badges and cut me a deal. I'd pop off the badges anyway.

Well the guy {Ernie} calls me and we discuss the car further. He said his dying dad wanted to raise the asking price to $47,900. I'm pretty much speechless now. I pretty much told him I'll LYK. I just receive a text saying they've decided to take $34,000 with a lot of NOS extra parts. Wants me to fly out look at the car and he'll pay shipping to Texas.

Just my opinion, to much sugar for a dime. It's your dime. When things look to good to be true,,,,, It's a nice looking car but have someone that knows these cars go with you so you don't get suckered into what you are not familiar with.
