Well dude, not sure where you live but here in NC we have some small towns. It doesn't take much at all to become a LEO. This same little town had to fire just about every police officer from the Chief down a few years back. They were smocking CRACK:eek::confused: If it was Greenville PD or the Sherriff I may think different. I just wish everyone would chill out until more facts are revealed. I know both parties involed.....
 
Exactly. Anything over "X$" dollars is considered a felony, and the police come calling. Hell the police would call if it was a misdemeanor related situation also. So not sure why all the drama brought about. I didn't know there was a small claims police.

Safe cracking charges terminology probably from the old days. Breaking and entering wouldn't be correct charge. So I guess something inside your building, locked, maybe the appropriate terminology.
 
I'm in MA.

I really have no dog in this fight other than I felt Nasty Wendy got a raw deal and I contributed to the fund a few times.

All it takes is ONE lawyer with a claim against anyone for character deformation, and you are booking a flight. Dont think it can't or wont happen to you.

(a) A person is guilty of safecracking if he unlawfully opens, enters, or attempts to open or enter a safe or vault :
(1) By the use of explosives, drills, or tools; or
(2) Through the use of a stolen combination, key, electronic device, or other fraudulently acquired implement or means; or
(3) Through the use of a master key, duplicate key or device made or obtained in an unauthorized manner, stethoscope or other listening device, electronic device used for unauthorized entry in a safe or vault, or other surreptitious means; or
(4) By the use of any other safecracking implement or means.
(b) A person is also guilty of safecracking if he unlawfully removes from its premises a safe or vault for the purpose of stealing, tampering with, or ascertaining its contents.
(c) Safecracking shall be punishable as a Class I felony. (1961, c. 653; 1973, c. 235, s. 1; 1977, c. 1106; 1979, c. 760, s. 5; 1979, 2nd Sess., c. 1316, s. 47; 1981, c. 63, s. 1, c. 179, s. 14; 1993, c. 539, s. 1176; 1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(c).)

I will tell you guys and gals, Shane's right. The last time anyone got banned or spanked was during the original nasty wendy thread. Those that got in trouble were warned to stay out of it and let Clay and Brian work things out, but there were a few idiots, just like now, that just couldn't shut the hell up and let things work out. Don't know what happened and really don't care, but this type of crap isn't good for the community as a whole. If you've got a beef with Brian then settle it with him, and don't get the rest of the board involved with this type of BS.:mad: Watching and not responding at this point because it will do no good.:oops:
 
This is a different world we all live in than when many of us were brought up in, we didn't have the internet, the social media, these smart phones, etc. etc...... In the past news was heard from the local news station or the news paper... Not like today! With public information out there and with the many, many more access tools of today things happen to be handled differently and sometimes it's hard to accept but it's the world we live in as we know it.

I hope whatever happened gets straightened out. Not like there a million places to get new parts for our cars.

Subscribed. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I personally have never had an issue with GBP or Brian. I've always received good service from him and his company.

There are two sides to every story. Yes, based on the charges I am concerned, and on a personal level I hope it works out for both parties involved.

I find it hard to believe that everybody else on here has squeaky clean records... I know I don't. Driving fast and bar fighting got the best of my 20s :)
 
I think the real concern here is if the charges pertain to a transaction/transactions involving another forum member here? I could care less about personal criminal records for anyone on here, BUT if that charge pertains to a vendor and a forum member then I am all ears. I don't think anyone would really care to deal with a vendor doing shady things involving other forum members. I dunno maybe some would but I know personally I would not.

Please accept my apology Shane. I did not mean to offend or upset you. I have nothing but praise and commendation for the way you've handled the board. Not to defend my statement or action but to clear it up - I was not insinuating that you banned Gilbert. I was only passing along a rumor. The hope was to get a response of either 'that is true' or 'that is not true'. Never was meant to offend.
 
nobody,and i mean nobody gets arrested for theft because somebody "says" tools are missing that the person left at somebody's garage.

there has to very solid evidence a theft has occurred,not just an accusation,to even be charged

and you don't get a $20,000 bond for missing tools.,either
