machanic

Here you go SFI Cutlass.

I spoke to Lou once on the phone and he was the rudest most non professional person I ever spoke to about my car. Not knowing I had money to spend he flat out said to me Im not the guy you want. So I just flat out Hung up on him. I said to myself "thats the last time I call that idiot!". No respect for Lou will ever will come from my way.
What I will say here is that I refuse jobs myself if I think it's just not worth the time and effort. I've got 1 guy here that's been trying to get me to put a 302 in a Ranger and I know this guy. I point blank told him he can't afford me to do the work and no one in the county would even consider doing it unless they were shady or stupid. He's still pissed at me for that but it's his loss not mine.;)

dose anyone know a good machanic that knows these cars in los angeles
Dear Chubba/Harold / wicked GN I don't suffer fools or idiots. Your post here verifies my good judgement in not wanting to deal with you. Why would I waste my valuable time with some jerk as yourself. I have many good customers that come first. I strongly advise you frequent another shop that is desperate enough to take your money smile & stab you in that back. I don't run that kind of shop sorry !

Thanks MeanChicken,

You managed to put, very concisely, what I would have like to have said.

Lou has been a great mentor and friend and built me a super steetable low 10 second car that is quite to my liking, thank you very much.

I didn't appreciate what this SFI character come across with. However, people have a right to their opinions, warranted or not.

I let my emotions get in the way of my better judgement and stepped over the line. SFI, I appologize for calling you a name, it was childish of me.

As for the rest of it, well, you seem to be in the minority in this case so I guess you just need to get the hell over it, won'tcha?

You might have a very nice conversion in that Cutlass (I'm assuming that's the car you called him about), but in honesty....another thing Lou does not like working on is conversions, so that's why he said he's not your guy. He's just being honest with you.

Check with Hyetech.

So if all you have to go on are your own hurt feelings....and have absolutely no personal experience with Lou's work on which to base your comments...prolly best to keep them to yourself.
Just some friendly advice...

My feelings are not hurt and he also did not know I had a Cutlass. Wanted to go a shop that I knew had proven performance and a rep for building Buick engines. I had another idiot that rebuilt my rear end and went on a joy ride/test drive and blow up my first engine that had less than 50 miles and I put my sweat and tears into the conversion myself with everything being brand new or rebuilt! Believe me for it being my first Gn engine I did not go cheap on anything for it being a street car. The engine looked amazing and had the most expense after market parts you can buy. A buddy of mine has been into these cars for years and had numerous GN's and race them in the streets of Los Angeles and he even said that my engine was the cleanest engine he ever seen. Not trying show off or anything but I really did hell of a job and any GN owner that would see my conversion would and can agree. At the end of the day didn't want to waste time or more money on someone that did not know these cars so I called Lou and it still bit me on the ass. I even spoke to Don down in Santee Ca great guy sat down with me for a few minutes and spoke to me about my car and Buicks even showed around his shop. To all you Lou fans sorry to talk about your guy.

Lou is at least one of the best, and if not the best turbo Buick mechanic in all of SoCal. When you have people from all over the country send Lou work or ask his help on cars throughout the country, it makes a statement that is hard to deny. Lou also knows who is good in SoCal for turbo Buick tranny replacement & re-build.

So you're saying that Lou refused to hook-up with you or your car. Surprise, surprise.
I suspect that Lou would rather not have any calls from you anyhow.

Ahhhh Kay! .....?

Here's my policy....
Even if I'm pissed at someone I've done business with....I don't come on here and take flaming keyboard stabs at them...I work it out with them man to man and keep it between us.

If I see someone spreading miscontent about someone else...especially a friend... for no other reason than they got their feelings hurt....if it serves the greater good....I'll reality check them in a tuff love, but respectful way...with a little of my tradmark cynical humor mixed in...(see above)

If one runs around burning effigy's in this small but tight community.....they will go up in flames themselves some day when no one wants to touch their car any more out of the desire to not be flamed by a thin skinned keyboard warrior.

I can tell ya that in the nearly 5 years I've been doing business with Lou....he's taken very good care of my GN and is the reason why it's always run so well.

Good luck with your Cutlass. Sounds like a nice build.

I rather tow my car to Texas than let the Lou ser work on my car! This guy does this for a living not for the love of these cars. I will of hate to let him work on my car and have him F it up! My buddy one time spoke to a guy that was selling GN parts on Craigslist and with a little conversation he told my friend that he was parting out his engine cause Lou ser did not build his engine right. This guy used to work for Lou
ser and I when he built this guys engine Lou ser forgot to put thread sealant on his head bolt studs. ? If he was an "engine builder" like he told me he was when I ended up hanging up on him, and have built numerous Buick engines how can you forget something so important to an engine build? That guy is a Lou ser!

Yes, we would rather you tow your car to Tejas too.
Have you ever considered sinking some $$$ into a good grammar & spelling class rather than the gutlass.
Lou doesn't like gutlasses anyhow.
Even turbo brick powered.

I don't have anything against Lou I have a problem with the way he handled the phone call.

That could of happened to anyone, even you. You know?

A guy asked for a mechanic and I responded with my experience I had about the guy.

I'm not here to make any enemies but when you advertise on websites you are going to receive numerous calls from lots of people wanting or needing help and are willing to pay for it.
