Remember that poor ass Captain gets the same amount of $$ whether you catch fish or not. So let him know there is
some $$ for him if he gets you on some big fish.....:biggrin:

Otherwise you may be on a expensive sightseeing trip in the bay...

There is some good fishing in Cabo been there many times.

The Zetas are part of the wonderful Mexican travel experience. If you wonder off the resort into the wrong area you can either get shot to death or possibly kidnapped and decapitated. I know a guy that lives in New Mexico and he has traveled into various areas where stuff like this happens on a daily basis. You might want to consider that before your travel.

Ill be sure to contact the capt before I head down their or atleast the charter itself. Thats why Im trying to see if anyone has and referral's for a fishing charter or resort.

I am going there in October to a time share resort w 4 other family memebers. They have had these time shares for years and assured me it was ok there. Im not the happiest about leaving the U.S. on vacation there but the wife wants to go.

I went there on my honeymoon, they would not leave us alone. We had a guy follow us around town trying to get us to come to a timeshare sales pitch. There was a mob at the airport waiting for tourists to get off the planes.

This is at any resort town in mexico... Just play red light /green light and put on some blinders until you are out of the airport.
Just don't talk to any of them at the airport. It seems rude but trust me...Just do it.

Leave your rings and watches at home and put your wallet in your front pocket....

You will be fine in Cabo and San Jose , great small little town next to Cabo. eat at the Tropicana
in San Jose it is great. We even took or fresh catch there one night and had them prepare it like 5 different ways.
Here are the Consular sheets and #s. I always have the local #s handy.

Thats why Im looking for an ALL inclusive resort. So I dont hafta travel away from the resort, just for food and etc. Only time be away from the resort would be to go fishing, And Most resorts are within walking distance to the "Marina" in Cabo.

What other vacation spots do you guys recommend?? Where not SET on Cabo just yet. It was just an idea.

Cabo is cool (hell it is almost like southern Cal.) And the fishing there can be great at times.
And you have to leave the resort.. Hit up Sammy's place/ bar crawl/ eat at some little hole in the wall. that's half the fun. The only places we do not go anymore is Acapulco and Cancun. They don't want you in Acapulco any more. It is to close to Mexico City and they fill up with those folks every weekend so it has become dangerous. And Cancun is for the kids. We like love PV and Playa /Tulum area the best. If you want to fish Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. If you want crystal clear water and beautiful beaches and quiet Tulem..(Mayan Riviera).

I highly recommend going with someone who has been to the area or at least out of the country before.

my gf has been to cancun b4 few yrs ago, So I guess thatll work. Nothing is in stone yet, but def doing my research.

I would go....... Cabo does have some great fishing... A lot of the beaches you can't swim, the under tows and rips are real bad around there. just depends on where you stay. if you stay near San Jose it is like $20 each way. So make sure your hotel is in Cabo. But i would still go to San Jose on night and eat at the Tropicana and chill out around there. It's worth the trip.

Its too freakin crazy down there. Those cartels are looking for people that look like they have money. So they can kidnap you and ask your family for ransom money and at the end you might end up dead anyway. It happens a lot you just dont hear it on the news too much. I knew a few people and familys that had this happen. Those a--holes will take a family rape the females in front of their dads or moms torture,,,,, Its sick.
