i need a set of hooker headers that will clear my gn1 3inch down pipe..86 gn.

i have a nice set of ta performance type headers stainless that have been reworked to flow better for sale let me know if your interested it well clear your down pipe profect.

Ceramic coated Hooker headers. Ran for 1 year, sat in my garage for 8. The coating is dulling. I will let them go for cheap.

Hey, some people are dead set on using them. My brother was. That is why they were used for 1 year. I was getting ready to list them. Maybe a NA guy could use them.

I can't control the boost any way, I have over built the dam thing,I have a set of stainless headers on it now and besides I have been around a long time and over the years hookers have always been one of the best..
 
What issues are you having? Hookers have never been one of the best. What is your combo? I'll sell them to you if you want, but they won't solve any problems.

I have worked on this car in my garage for 4 years,I normally don't talk about it.What i wanted was a quick street car,I have gone to far;it is unsafe on the street unless i do some changes..I have a turbo 400 trans,manual shift,3500 stall,ta60,dutt inlet,3.5 lt1 mass,comp cam,rjc plate,42.9 inj.,.030 forged speed pro,manley stainless valves,ported & polished heads and intake,balanced,steel main caps,arp main & head studs,pypes 2.5 exhaust,gn1 3 inch down pipe,3.42 posi,translater plus,chip i forgot,coolmist alky kit adjustable fuel reg,walbor 340 pump,adjustable boost control,stainless headers.What this thing does, is i can be going down the street,let say in second gear,step on it sort of firm not wot,when it gets to 3500,full lock up on the trans,it will go into max boost and blow the tires of of it,I have had alot of cars over the years( z/28s,big block corvettes,440 mopars,gto's,on & on) I am not bulls*** any one.This thing has a power band,that is unreal..any way thanks for let me air this out..I still want the headers..make me a price i can't refuse..thanks..ron please e-mail the price and do'nt post it...thanks for listening...ron
 
Boost Problem

put delta gate on the crossover and pipe it into the boost control in side the car.
 
I would sell you a set but when you see the stock manifolds make the same power you would want to kill me. Mine are a little rusty because they were sandblasted and never touched. The up pipe is new in the package.
 
I would bet that the problem you are having is from the GN1 downpipe. The wastegate hole in the flange is way too small. The exhaust housing on the turbo should be opened up to match as well. Might want to get some bigger injectors too. Those 42's are not going to get you very far if you are wanting to go fast.

^ agree with the above. Sounds like boost control issues. Why not fix the problem. Not trying to be disrespectfull at all. Don't install hooker headers on your car. it will fix nothing
 
Guy, listen to what these guys are saying. Hooker headers and V-6 Buick just don't match. You have another issue so I would fix that.

I can rework the waste gate,I can redo the boost control,I need to get a chip burned,but what size injectors do I need to install,and keep this thing driveable on the the street? I want to thank everybody for their input and help..thanks again...ron:biggrin:
 
IMOP go with the 60's. the 60's will work with anything from a stock car to a 10 second car. The idle quality with the 60's and one of eric's turbo tweak chips will be better then stock ;)
