AMEN Claude, Wont see me in one unless I am taken hostage! The days of real cars are gone fellas. I work with GM engineers all the time and number one on their list is bottomline for Chevrolet. They wont make the mistake of having a Buick sedan where the badge of GM's fastest production car. The other divisions will be supported just to keep their heads above water for the buyers sake. The company doesnt think as it use to when Buick could make its own choices and Chevy theirs and so on. It is GM and the stock holders only want to see PROFIT. If we are going to talk about a new car, lets talk about a nice looking car at least. Hanging the REGAL name on this car is as insulting as calling The Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest an "athletic event". Nah, dont think so.

Tell me why Pontiac and Olds had to go while the other S**T-car makers like KIA and Hyundai are allowed to exsist??? Our stupid azz govt, thats why. Tell the American company they have to downsize so the 3rd world countries can sell cars with 10 yr 100,000 mile warranties. And believe me, my gym is next to a KIA dealer...you WILL use that warranty, several times over.

I don't know guys. One came into the wash today. The car caught my eye right away. An older gentlemen behind the wheel. Real nice guy. He loved the car. Said GM nailed it with this one.

tuned my friends turbo 2.0 cobalt w/ downpipe and k&n...ran 108mph, but thats at 2800-2900lbs

anything over 400whp and they have to go into the motor

maybe the next gen will come with AWD and a turbo 6

I don't know but hasn't the popular choice in muscle cars and such, always been 2 doors not the 4 doors models, never really seen a demand for sedans.

Maybe a good for those looking for a sleeper.

Don't forget the first gen of turbo regals weren't very fast or all that great to look at (no offense to the b4b crew). Then they added FI. Then IC's and it became the sleeper we all love so much today. Give it 5-10 years and maybe Buick will atleast start making 2 door, all or rear wheel drive models (like the hyundai genesis, and genesis coupe) with some engine and turbo upgrades and we'll have a second generation of Grand Nationals. Or atleast one can only hope.

Only a dreamer would think of this Buick as a "performance" car in today's marketplace.

Saturday, a girl at the track was driving a new, showroom stock 5.0 Mustang automatic with a temp tag went 13.1! The manual 5.0's will run high 12's absolutely stock.

A showroom stock GN would be lucky to run in the 14's when new, so this new GS is not, and never will be, a performer on the street or strip.

I didn't include the Cobalt SS because they haven't been built since 2009.

Only a dreamer would think of this Buick as a "performance" car in today's marketplace.

A showroom stock GN would be lucky to run in the 14's when new, so this new GS is not, and never will be, a performer on the street or strip.

The new Regal GS will never compete against the new Camaro and Mustang 5.0. Times have changed. People want refinement AND handling nowadays. It's not 1987 anymore! Be thankful that GM is even building cars at this moment.

i like it alot. it looks to me as if they were going for the look of a bmw and nailed it. rims look good, front end looks good and the interior looks very nicely styled. for a mid-priced luxury/sport car not to shabby. horsepower is down but i would bet in the next year or two it will come up to almost 300 from the factory.

Most people could care less if it's front wheel drive or has a turbo, etc...they just want a good looking, dependable car that will be somewhat quick off the line and I think this car has those qualities.

Well sorry to tell you, but the next statement will bring out all the "I only by American" liars. I live in NW Pa where over the last 2 weeks, 46 inchs of snow has fallen. I have a Subaru Legacy AWD and if I had gotten the "turbo charged" model...it not only looks way better then this car, but would fly by it on the highway too. Buick got the looks right with the Lecerne and LaCross, but it didnt jump off the paper with this car. Sorry.

Oh yeah, the "I only buy American" statement makers...if you think you do, thats great, but if you live in America, you cant. We dont make the parts on these cars. Thats a fact. I work for a 14 million dollar a year company that now makes 4 million a year since GM pulled all our work and sent it to Mexico. Several other companies followed. Less then 15% of that car is made here.

It might be a nice grocery getter, but a 2.4 turbo with a stick in a heavy car is going to require a small turbo for mass production. I had a 2004 WRX Wagon with a stick and that thing was fun, but the turbo was small and it just didn't have any guts unless you revved it up- Oh I bought American at the time because GM had partial ownership of Subaru at the time

I bought a new silver Lacrosse for my bride last month, she loves it. The Regal was to small for our taste. She came out of a BMW and we feel its far superior to that. The only knock that I would give it is its under powered, the car is heavy, its up into the 4k lb range. It handles like a dream and the ride is great. If she wants to race anyone, she can drive my car.
