6262dbb and a billet 3000 9x11

I was a little conservative on the timing, I pulled a degree out from what I was running around with because of the heat.

Nice run. How much timing did you run? What afr? What was the 1/8 mile et/mph? Thanks.

24* in 1st 22* on up. she climbed 24mph from the 8th so I really need to get the 60 down a tad and try a little more timing

Last min we decided to hit the track last night, got there around 8:45pm and it was still hot as all balls ! 89* air temp. Made one pass 1.56 60ft off the foot brake, using 255 dr's, 10.76@125 mph, 26psi on 93+alky climbed to 27.5 psi but zero knock on the datalogger. I was a little conservative on the timing, I pulled a degree out from what I was running around with because of the heat. Soon as I came around to the lanes they walked over and asked me to park it LOL..I guess that 13.50 I wrote down on my tech in card was slightly off:biggrin: It was just to hot so rolled home.
All and all I am very happy with the car. I think with better weather, a little more aggressive tune. The few weight reduction parts I have around that need to be installed 10.50's are a real possibility.
Congratulations. That's a great time.
Would you mind listing what all is done to your car and if you know the race weight?
Thanks,
Scott

I plan on taking it down to the feed mill scales monday when i'm off work, there only 1 mile from me. I'll type up the list.

boost

Was the boost set at 26 psi on that run ? That is some impressive times with stock heads!!!
Mike

thanks guys, yes stock longblock, boost was set at 26 but like I said it did climb to 27.5. I credit a lot of it to these new precision turbos and to Dave Husek up in LI for building me a killer trans/ converter combo.

i'm going to tip my hat to a 10.7/125 stock longblock pass:cool:dave's tranny really gets it done as well.

Congratulations on a great run. Please post your combo, I need to change some stuff soon. Thanks

What stall did you go with on the 9.5 converter? What stage rebuild did you do on the trans rebuild? I'm looking into doing something similar.Do you like the9.5 better than the 9/11?

the 9.5 feels better at the track for sure. maybe slighly better around town feel in the 9x11 maybe.. 9.5 at the track for sure though.
Just call Dave and tell him what you want to do with the car he can hook you up for sure.

front to back. Precision FMIC, 62/62dbb .63 s. 85mm maf/ translator. accufab 70/ 70setup.comp valve springs, rollmaster chain,TT prom, 60's hotwire kit, 255 pump,welded/ported factory headers, precision external gate, 3 gbodyparts downpipe, atr single with pitbull, taylor thundervolts, 2 steps down on the plugs gapped at .28, SMC alky kit (single) running 100% meth, Dave Husek built trans and 9.5 lockup tc 3,000 stall. stock gears, rear disc setup, moser axels, ta cover, metco adj control arms, Hr parts bar setup ,dual bags, 255/50/16 mt drs at 16 psi, fronts at 40psi sway removed and front control arm bushings soaked down in liquid graphite, WE4 hardtop.ac,radio power options all there and working.Crap load of late night wide open tuning blasts on my quiet country back roads.

I am giving total mad props to Brian at Gbody parts for the suspension setup/turbo as I told him I wanted a friendly car that could go 10.50 and he delivered the right parts.

I also would like to give mad props to Dave at turbobuickperformance for a killer trans setup. perfect shifts, zero flair, most likely the best trans I have ever had and I have been through many, including the big names.

Now the real question is with the alloy core support, wilwood calipers, brail battery, plastic headlights, headlight covers on, overflow and washer fluid emptied, floor mats and junk out of car, and so on can I get that 10.50 without tossing the crank out the pan :) ?....

If I can get that 60 in the 1.4 range I am money so far with disc brakes are holding boost ( no t-brake). I really want to do it with the street setup I have and not going to a 28 inch race tire. I just hate that look. I want to know what I can put down any day of the week kind of thing.
