I have a 9.5" vigilante lock up with a #6 pump. I thought this should be a 3200+ converter. at 0 boost i'm only getting 2250 rpm on my scanmaster. whats the deal?

6 pump should be around 3400. Something else is wrong. A 0 pump is as loose as you would want a Vigilante, which is around 3000. I am running a GTQ76 with a .85 exhaust housing with one and it spools fine.

well, i was just told it was re-stalled for a 413 small block... which was NOT stated in the for sale post. THANKS:mad:

i guess it is assumed when something is sold on turbobuick.com that it is for a turbo buick ? this part was listed on racing junk the same way. many questions were asked about it. several individuals declined based on.........QUESTIONS ASKED. should it have been stated in the add ? i will say that maybe it could have been clearer.

when somebody says "this converter is junk"..............
is it presumed by a few, to be junk ? it was a known working converter
when taken out and boxed and shelved.
i dont intend on taking this any further. im just stating my side.

send it in...... get a turbo stator put in it... and be done with it. you will still be money ahead.

im done

Precision rebuilds converters for a reasonable price. To give you an idea they rebuild the 5 disc LU for $375 the last time I checked. Email jack@converter.com to see what he says.

I personally wouldnt piss on a Precision converter. I do everything I can to steer people away from them.

ummm... yeah!!!!

Dude... That's too bad on the converter. When all is said and done you could have bought my new in the box #6 multi-disc for the same price.

I have no experience with the single-disc Vigilante's, but plenty with the multi-disc. If you're wanting a lock-up they're the way to go.

Internal Mod Reqiured To Add Supply Oil For Multi Disc Apply ????

Just A Heads Up There Gary.

Why is that?

Because they seem to consistently miss stall speeds when people order them. I know people that have had to send them back 4-5 times to get the stall they wanted. Not to mention some of the multi disk converters Ive heard sound like they have rocks in them.

TurboT..you know I have sold a bunch of parts on ebay & try to explain the best I can..sometimes I may be off a lil..Im human but in this case..looks like if he admits a stall change after posting it IS a #6 3400 stall he is now in the wrong..will he do anything about it? Id say no..if it was me id have to at least split the repair with you.sound slike he knows a stator was bad..now I odnt know the whole story..just from what Ive heard doesnt sound too fair to me..

he acts like its no big deal that i have need to have it re-stalled. he has not offered to do anything.
