China Headers

Nick, yours may be better as from the pics I've seen so far but not everyone needs the max perf. & related cost. Some will buy yours, some will buy his? Some buy a new top of the line Plasma TV & others buy a 20" used TV.
The guys who are that serious about the track will still be your customers & the other guys never would have been anyways cuz they just spectate. Maybe want some bling but thats all they really care about. That means low cost for bling & the Race crowd pays anyways. Stage 2 Who needs it? Still a market out there. Guess it wont hurt you that much in the long run really. Just an extra peice of the pie you couldnt eat anyway IMO? They may not be perfect but I bet they still will have a market here. Nothing wrong with that? Happens everyday in business. To each his own. I'm sure you wont really lose any business from it so dont lose any sleep over it. Not worth it is it?

At least im not claiming I invented the wheel like your dumb a-- Nick.FACT

You arent doing Buick guys any favors with your over priced parts.FACT

Hell,if you wouldve addresed the problems spx7 had with your headers in the 1st place, they wouldnt have been copied;) FACT

Lets see a receipt from Burhead.Tell you what, ill leave the community if you can show us proof that you bought the design from Burhead.

If not,JUST STFU AND MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Burhead screwed you huh???Poor Nick Micale.Hes trying to say the design is his own but Burhead just happened to come up with it.You must think were IDIOTS!!!!I hope these cheap chinese products put you out of buisness,I know I will never buy another thing from you or TA.

I think im about to send off some of yours(actually TA's) and RJC's products to be copied over seas giving you yet more problems and Buick guys a cheaper alternative;)

Is there any losing battle you won't pick? Its only over priced because you to stupid(or cheap) to know true quality and understand the dynamics of airflow. TA/AZGN header are one of the best desgins to fit multi. application.

I have run them in the past but will be fabbing my own design for the current build do to the horsepower requirements of the new build.

Those look good the welds are fantastic. but i still have to ask why they are still over a grand in price?

In China the worker gets paid around a $1 per day. They get no health benefits, gov't taxes, Medicare, Social Security, pension, etc, etc, etc. From my standpoint, this keeps labor cost down. They have no incentives and no pride in their workmanship. Just get it done.

Here in the US, the work gets his hourly wage and benefits. Got to remember, the owner/company has to also kick in the other half of the employees Fed. taxes. Someone has to pay to for them.

I'll try and break it down:

Header company probably charges $75 per hour (guessing here). I don't know how long it takes to make all them piece but I'll take a guess at 8hrs between the two headers and the crossover pipe. $600 just in labor.
The $75/hr is including company overhead costs.

Now take in the cost of the stainless pipe, flanges, V-bands, gaskets, welding wire, welding gas and other misc material needed. $400

Now the vendors have to make some type of profit.

Now take the China POS

Labor $1x8hr=$8
Inferior material=$100

Rest is profit for the Chinese guy.

Even though these China headers are very very cheap, the picture below is the MAIN reason NOT to buy (and I quote) this style of China headers. The holes are not big enough! There's no telling how the #4 cyl holes look because you can't see it.

well i can tell you the 2 sets i got , do not look like that on the inside, and the set Nasty Wendy has dont either.. I did hear that the people that got the ones that look like the one in the picture, are having a new passenger side header sent to them free of charge..

Yep that's exactly the junk this guy that lives by me bought. LOL He tried to
tell me that they sent him the prototype on accident. hahahahahahaha It's the same $h!ty A$$ Crap as the pick I see above. You should see the great flange on his DP! Junk LOL

Those pictures I posted, I posted to show people the defect. I also posted that they would be replaced free of charge. Doesn't that constitute good business ethics?. I wasn't trying to hide anything from the people that bought them. We know that some of the headers had problems with the second production run and we wanted to find out who got them and get them replaced. SPX-7 didn't just say your screwed. He said, "Let everyone know that got the second batch we will send the corrections free of charge." Why would you still bash someone that does that?

Here's MY OPINION about the different designs of headers out there. I am "knit picking" the over-all design (not the quality) of all these headers for my honest opinion. Also note, the AZ - TA header in the picture is taken at an angle so the #2 pipe appears to near 90* like the China copies. Another angle will probably prove the #2 tube is angled better.

The worst thing about the ATR headers is the available downpipes may not fit with them installed.

I don't know you but how can you come here knowingly that you stole a design and sell them here for a 1/4 of the cost.

It's people like you that ruin the legitamite companies that spend countless hours of R&Ding and have their products reproduced. You don't know the trickle down effect that you have caused.

How about trying to reproduce a currently available GM or Ford product. Your A$$ will be in jail.

If you are so pro-Buick, how about reproducing parts that we need.....grilles, MAFs, fan delay relays, stuff that has been discontinued.

Well it's good that your trying to correct the problem. I give you that! But.... I think I'm gonna copy you're headers and sell them even cheaper, learn off all your mistakes. Hell maybe I'll have the flanges re-torque friendly. Who knows? JO
