Unfortunately this 87 GN is the first turbo car I have owned, but I have quite a laundry list of non-turbo vehicles. So if my wife thought I had it bad before.......

Welp, right now, everything I own has a turbo on it. Never saw that coming. :redface: But when I was stationed in Japan, my Sunbird was back in the states, so I shopped carefully before I bought an '83 Nissan Skyline R30 EX Turbo. It had the L20ET I6 turbo motor, similar to the one used in the 280ZX Turbo. Made 144 hp stock, after I tinkered with it, upped the boost and added a cat back and K&N, it was making about 150-160ish. She was an auto and probably ran in the mid 15's. Over there we were limited to what year model vehicle we could own, which at the time, ('91-'93) the newest car they would allow us to own was an '83 model. I street raced the heck out of this car.

Mine didn't have the corny fender mirrors, it had normal door mirrors and I added a very subtle rear deck lid spoiler and some solid white cross laced rims. It was a nice driver and fun car. Sold it before I left for $800.00. The troops stationed in Japan now got it made, cause they can legally buy and own '89-'96 Skylines, but don't think they can bring them back in one piece tho.
Anywho, back to the present.

1990 Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo--rare and neat but not very fast
1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo--Awesome, but too complicated for a backyard mechanic.
Gone now, but if I had a chance, I would love to have another one of each.

Other turbo car
The only other turbo car that I have driven would be my parents Dodge Shadow. It was a 2.2 with some balls.. Had a mim hood scope like GN that said Turbo on it. The best part was that it was all black and just orange pinstripe in some trim with the flip up sunroof. I beat that car into the ground. Super fast very fun and a total sleeper. The best part about it was when I would go to the races and the cops did traffic stops would insist that I was lost. It wasnt a honda so they let me go...
