Windshield trim clips

Need a new windshield installed. Ordered all new trim clips. Should I remove all the old clips and install the new ones before the windshield install company comes, just remove the old ones or leave the old ones there and change them after.

Leave the old clips in place until you get the new ones to verify they are the correct pieces.

Been there, done that, I have a couple bags of clips that look the same as stock, but will not fit the trim piece?

I have the correct ones in my hand. Just trying to figure out what will be an easier/ better install. Cutting the old ones out after the new glass, cutting utherane out if I take the old clips out or just install the new ones first but then they will probably get glue all over them.
