where to get a 8.5" rear end support cheap

I like those rear end girdles that they have in Jegs for like $140 but that's pretty steep for a rear end cover. Does anyone know of an alternative to just a chrome cover or know of a cheaper place to get the girdle? I really don't want to finish off a new eaton unit, axles, gears, and bearings with the factory cover...I want something that says "performance" not "hey I bought a chrome cover for my rear end"

Paint it bright silver and use black allen head knurled bolts. Put a drain plug in it too. Or even be creative: paint a yellow/black hazardous waste symbol on it. Hey, I might do that now that I think about it! JMO.
