^^ x2 - looks like an old alarm system. If you remove it make sure to follow all the wires. "Custom wiring" must have been a side hobby for some tr owners- there's a lot of ugly work under many a dash. Best to trace it all and make sure removal is complete and no bare splices are exposed.

You know theres trouble when you see orange wire nuts under your dash.

Thankfully the wire nuts are from some ad on and not hacked into the factory wiring. It's all being cleaned up
