whats the number one preventable thing to not blow your car up?

Only problem I have ever run into.... twice... is that Fuel Pressure Reg Vacuum line popping off! Last time it let loose right around the 1000ft mark at the track, i let off but not quick enough apparently! Coasted thru the traps .02 seconds slower than my previous best time. There is a steel clamp holding the line on now
